Underground Donut Tour - Santa Monica

Overview

The Santa Monica donut tour is our first foray into sunny Southern California. This tour celebrates all things donuts, sunshine, and beachfront fun. Our tour begins at a California institution, Randy’s Donuts. You may know Randy’s from their many appearances across TV, movies, and music videos, specifically for their iconic giant donut. After we’ve tried some of their amazing classics, we’ll move on to our next location, Sidecar Doughnuts. If you are looking for amazing, artisanal donuts - you’ve come to the right place. Our third location is a slightly unexpected stop, but still quintessentially California for churros. And our last stop may change based on the group or the weather, so we won’t ruin the surprise, but the two options we’ve picked out are both equally fantastic.

Santa Monica Pier

We may end the tour here or potentially at nearby donut shop depending on the weather and how far the group wants to walk.

Third Street Promenade

We'll walk through the 3rd street promenade to check out the many shops and restaurants nearby.

Chad was great! We had so much fun on our tour and the treats were delicious! We had options for our last stop, and were able to end in the promenade to continue our day shopping.

This tour was a blast, thanks to our amazing tour guide, Chad. From the moment my family and I met him, Chad's enthusiasm and deep knowledge of Santa Monica's donut scene were evident. He not only took us to some hidden gem donut shops but also shared fascinating stories about the area. Chad's friendly and engaging personality made the tour enjoyable for everyone. He ensured we all felt included and even tailored some parts of the tour to our individual interests. The donuts were, of course, delicious, but Chad's expertise and passion for his job truly elevated the experience. If you're a donut lover or just looking for a fun and unique way to explore Santa Monica, I highly recommend this tour.
