There are many rafting companies to choose from in the Gatlinburg area. We chose River Rat, and wow did we win big. All the guides are professional, funny, experienced, and did I say funny? They make sure you feel safe if it is your first time. Our guide Tazz is the greatest. He has been doing this for a long time and you could tell how good he was by how taught us to work as a team and do some really cool things in the water. There were also times when we would move to the side and wait as other companies went through the rapid we just did to stand by in case someone needed help. I never saw anyone else but River Rat guides do this. 100% recommended and I will be going back too!

Doah was our guide and he was awesome! We did a lower float because we had littles with us. It was an enjoyable trip with a few bigger rapids that the kids could handle. He was patient with our 6 year old that loves to ask an endless amount of questions. He was ver knowledgeable about history of the towns and rivers. We will definitely be back and hopefully take an extreme rafting trip without the kids.

This was a blast and definitely worth it! Tommy was our guide and he was great! The views were great as well! The class fours were so fun to us. He had one of our kids “ride the bull” and he enjoyed that so much.
