Madison was an excellent guide and made the run extremely exciting for our group which included a 9 and 14 year old. We hit every rapid didn’t go around any of them and with two adults pulling the load managed to keep the kids in the raft at all times. They felt safe and we still had a blast ripping up the rapids. To me that was important to them enjoying the trip and laughing the whole way rather then freaking out over a boat flip or falling out. If have young ones and worried she is your guide.

My teenage daughter and I absolutely LOVED our rafting experience with River Rat Whitewater!! The first thing we noticed when we arrived was how clean everything was at the facility. The PFDs were really clean and definitely did not smell, which is something I’ve come to expect from a lot of facilities. In addition, the facility had clean showers, plenty of changing rooms, and items for sale if you forgot something. My daughter wears glasses and we were grateful to find some eyeglass cords to keep her from losing them in the water. The guy who checked us in was super nice and cool (I didn’t catch his name but he had the long dreads). All of the guides on the bus gave a hilarious comedy show but the super cutie pie, Will, kept us mesmerized with his corny Tennessee jokes (and exceptional good looks)! All of the guides seemed like a great team and worked together, which created a positive and really fun atmosphere. A very special shout out to our personal guide, Myranda, who was the bomb!! She was friendly, chill, and highly skilled. We didn’t fall out (not even the two newbies) and she confidently maneuvered us through several class 3-4 rapids. The water was beautiful and the rapids were perfect!! Finally, the girl who checked us out when we bought photos didn’t pressure us at all, which is the type of salesperson I respect and appreciate. Overall, I give this place an A+ as it exceeded our expectations in every single way!!! We seriously LOVED it and highly recommend River Rat Whitewater!!!
