Banksy "Hammer Boy"

Visit the Hammer Boy, a small but iconic mural painted in 2013 by the famous English street artist Banksy.

Beacon Theatre

Visit The Beacon, a world-famous theatre where popular artists including Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, and Jerry Seinfeld have all performed.

The Ansonia

Visit a breathtaking piece of French architecture with a rich history, once home to legends like Babe Ruth (Yankees) and the renowned composer Igor Stravinsky.

The Dakota

Pay a solemn visit to the site where the tragic assassination of John Lennon took place.

Strawberry Fields, John Lennon Memorial

On our way from the Dakota we'll visit Strawberry Fields. This now iconic location was put in Central Park as a memorial for the late John Lennon

As an early birthday treat, my mum booked us on this incredible food tour of the Upper West Side with Tasty Tours NYC, led by the fantastic Ryan—personable, knowledgeable, and fun! We started at Broad Nosh Bagels for a delicious, overstuffed everything bagel, then stopped by Mimi’s Pizza for a perfectly prepared cheese slice (and garlicky knots!). Next was a sweet treat — Zabars' famous chocolate rugelach, paired with what was probably the best coffee of our trip. Along the way, we saw a real Banksy ('Hammer Boy') and visited Strawberry Fields in Central Park, where a musician played Imagine—a moving moment. Then came our favourite stop: Gray’s Papaya hot dogs—utterly delicious! Finally, we ended at Magnolia Bakery, where Ryan surprised me with a birthday candle in my banana pudding, while my mum had a delicious cupcake! We left full and happy—such a fun morning! Highly recommend this tour! 🍕🥯🌭🎂

Ryan was so kind, fun, engaging and knowledgeable! The perfect food tour guide. It was fun to learn more about the food culture in NYC and specifically the upper west side.
