I rated this a 4, but really a 3.5. It’s a good concept - buy a solo walking tour and download to an app on your phone. Works well with spoken instructions to navigate between points of interest and a map if you get lost. The guy providing the narrative did a good job and it was in the main interesting. As with this type of recorded tour, things have changed since it was produced. The library is no more and a couple of other places seemed to have vanished. Charlotte isn’t the most exciting of places if you judge by the contents of a tour and seem to be pulling down any buildings with some history. Not specifically this tour’s fault, but you probably have to check the content at least once a year to check it’s still accurate. Overall, I enjoyed this though and the convenience of being able to do it at a time that suited me was appreciated.

We really enjoyed this tour! It was easy to follow and very informative, with a few great tips about other things to do in Charlotte. We enjoyed the history the most, and would have been happy with even more. Our only complaint is that the volume is a little quiet, so even with our headphones turned up all the way, the sounds of the city sometimes made it difficult to hear the guide. But that wasn’t bothersome enough to ruin the experience, and it’s easy enough to rewind to listen again. Overall it was a great experience!

We could not get the app to work & had to forfeit the whole experience- we did our own walk around Charlotte- would have been nice to hear the narration
