Uptown In The Heights Walking Tour

Overview
We offer a unique way to experience New York City, with small groups walking tours focused on often unexplored neighborhoods of this big city. You'll see through the eyes of licensed and experienced tour guides and longtime New Yorkers.
The Tour "Uptown in The Heights" will let you explore a off-the-beaten-path area, a vibrant neighborhood rich of history. We will visit the Little Dominican area, that inspired Lin Manuel Miranda's "In The Heights" Broadway musical and movie. Let's take a walk around the old Frankfurt-on-Hudson neighborhood and discover what is left of the magnificent castles and luxurious estates. We will learn where the highest natural point of Manhattan is located and where the Battle of Fort Washington took place. The tour will culminate with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge.
Come explore Uptown Manhattan and leave with long last memories, knowledge and appreciation for this amazing part of New York City!

We took two tours with Manuela (in Italian) namely the New York walking tour and the Liberty + Ellis Island + ground zero tours. We had a great time and learned so much. Manuela is very well informed, she has a huge knowledge of the city, its history, architecture and knows a lot of funny facts . She is easy going and extremely patient (we imposed on her a lot of stops for pictures, food, drinks etc). We discovered a new part of New York that we were not aware of during the walking tour: the Highline, which was an amazing addition to the classic part of the city. I canā€™t wait to go back to New York and use Manuelaā€™s services again: she truly made our trip great and unforgettable. Itā€™s not easy to find good, knowledgeable, and fun guides, but she is definitely the one.
