What To Expect

Valley of Fire State Park

The best hiking destination close to Las Vegas. This place is spectacular. Enjoy a colorful Aztec Sandstone rock combinations at the Valley of Fire, which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago. On a sunny day, these rock formations look like they are on fire, giving the park its name, the Valley of Fire.

Seven Magic Mountains

One of the most photographic art in the Mohave Desert. Swiss Artist Ugo Rondinone art installation featuring 7 painted boulder totems up to 35 ft. Installation was 10 years 20,000 pounds to 25 tons, stacked into seven towers. They form totemic figures 30 feet to 35 feet tall. They are meant to evoke contrast and continuity from nature to culture, hence their bright colors, which are typical of Rondinone's sculptures. Enjoy the monuments colorful rock formation and take a best picture ever.

We had a great day out at the Valley Of Fire. The car was really comfortable, able to have cold water and snacks whenever we wanted. Valley of Fire was nice and quiet as we left early. A stunning place. Choice of a couple of fast food options at lunch time, which was good on the bank balance compared to Vegas prices. wasn''t so keen on the Seven Magic Mountains (I should have looked into it before hand) Overall, excellent trip, happily to recommend to anyone

Janos as guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable and friendly. Valley of Fire is breathtaking. Had ample time and pacing was not at all strenuous. Early start is the way to go. You miss the crowds and cooler. And we saw bighorn sheep!
