The tour guide, Sarah, is a fantastic conversationalist and so we had a great drive to and from the park, When we got there, I found out that she knew the park like the back of her hand. It was very cool because we got to hike around to some spots where no other people were while she pointed out everything from the plant life to fossilized shells, She was even able to explain why some of the 3,000-year-old petroglyphs on the walls were "organized" and others were "unorganized." It was pretty amazing, although she was reluctant to go into detail about the supposed "hauntings" on the trails for some reason. Anyway, Sarah was the best tour guide I have eer had and hiking the Valley of Fire park was a blast.
