I HIGHLY recommend! Mason was my guide and he was not only extremely personable, but he was able to explain about the flora and fauna in the area. It's such a different experience going on a hike with someone who has a genuine appreciation for the history of the area. He identified wild sage, "Mormon's tea" (I THINK that's what he said the name was); he explained how the rocks were formed and showed me the ones that looked like a tortoise, monkey, etc.
I chose the difficult hike and Mason allowed me to go at my own pace and take pictures and ask questions. I'm pretty sure I ended up doing a moderate/difficult hybrid...by choiceš
The topography is a mix of sand and, of course, the rocks. I wasn't expecting the rivers of sand - so cool! Wear long pants. I scraped my shin in a few places, but it was so worth it. Pictures do NOT do the beauty justice. The rock formations are, in a word, amazing.
Water/Gatorade/snacks are provided and much appreciated. Thanks again, Mason! This was one of thr best experiences I had during my visit to Vegas. I HIGHLY recommend Love Hikes!
