Marvel at petrified wood and 3,000-year-old American Indian petroglyphs as you take an easy, moderate or difficult guided hike through Nevada's oldest state park. During your 4-, 5- or 6-hour tour, you'll also pass through the Moapa River Indian Reservation and catch sight of Lake Mead. This tour was chosen after cancelling a planned tour to Zion national park. The best decision! Our guides were Matthew and Laura, greeted at 6:00am with great enthusiasm, introducing themselves and explaining what was in store. A short trip out from Las Vegas , to beat the hot sun. We chose the moderate hike, which was off the normal trails, what a treat , a bit of scrambling to reach areas that you would not find on the trails. Matthew was a mine of information, a layed back guy but with enthusiasm that was plain to see for his vocation. Laura was great at assisting with the hike , and providing photographs at every opportunity. The group was small only 6 in total, the other group was from Florida ( two of them from South Africa originally) what a hoot , especially Cameron. The hike was just over two hours, perfectly paced , views were stunning. The moderate hike is worth it to see those fantastic views One of the best parts of our trip to celebrate my 50th birthday 10 out of 10 First class Stuart and Yvonne Dalgety Bay Scotland

I went on the Valley of Fire Hike. It was AMAZING!!! I got picked up at My Hotel because I paid for that option. The Tour Van was punctual. 5:45am pick up. Matthew was our Hiking Guide. He is very Knowledgeable, had a pleasant personality, and is professional! By the time we got to the Valley of Fire Trail (7:30am)the temps were warm! He had plenty of water, Gatorade and snacks. We chose the intermediate Hike, so there was rock climbing involved. We went over, under and through them. It was Exciting!! We had plenty of opportunities to take pics along the way. It is better to bring a small backpack to carry any personal items you think you need aside from what is furnished. Hands free is the way to throughly enjoy this hike. I will DEFINITELY be using LOVE HIKES for future trips, and I also Personally recommend this company and tour guide. Reminder: the temps are High. Starting this tour early as possible is the best way to enjoy the tour and deal with the heat if you are not used to it. By the time we finished the tour, it was probably 98degrees Fahrenheit. STAY HYDRATED AND USE SUNSCREEN!!!! If you love hiking and want to try, You will have lots of fun! All levels are welcome. Just be sure to communicate your experience level with the tour company. They contact you by sending you texts and emails. Communication was excellent!!! Do not hesitate to take this tour!
