You don't get to drive if you purchase the "Ride Along" Groupon and there's no opportunity to upgrade. The nature is wonderful. The ride starts out a little routine, mostly flat, a little boring. You stop relatively early in the ride for a break. It gets really fun, once you go up a steep hill. Lots of trickiness after that. You stop for lunch and it's a short ride back. I wish the ride itself was longer. The breaks are in scenic locations, but it would be nice to have shorter breaks and a longer ride. Chad was my guide. He was diligently looking after the group, keeping an eye on everyone, especially stragglers. It was definitely a good time. Being picked up and dropped off at my hotel was a treat! The van driver, Darrian, was good at setting up expectations for some riders, recommending the UTV versus an ATV.
The space is clean and well organized. Lots of helmets to choose from, based on size. You are on your own with the fitting and making sure it's strapped. No one checked. They provide gloves, goggles, helmets, water, a Subway sandwich and bag of chips.
