Overview

Our Winter and Summer Safaris are led by a wildlife biologist with years of experience guiding in Yellowstone. During the Winter we will focus on wolf watching, viewing moose, bison, elk, coyote, etc.

We will depart your accommodations and head towards Yellowstone’s northern range, undoubtedly one of the prime wildlife viewing spots in the world, it harbors impressive bison herds, wolf packs, and meandering bears. Visitors are likely to depart from the park’s northern lands with at least one, if not more, checks on their wildlife card. Wild and pristine. When thinking about Yellowstone, a vast and amazing back-country, large carnivores, bison herds, iconic geysers, and geothermal features fill the imagination.

Weather permitting we will stop to take fun family friendly hike or two to a secluded lake or waterfall. Mid way through the tour we will stop for lunch at a scenic area.

Time permitting we will walk the boardwalks of Mammoth Hot Springs.

Hot coco and coffee is provided!

What To Expect

Lamar Valley

Known as the Serengeti of Yellowstone because of the large amounts of wildlife that congregate in the lush valley.

Yellowstone National Park

Grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk herds, marmots, osprey, black bear, fox, moose, coyote, etc

Hayden Valley

Home to Yellowstone's second largest Bison herd, elk herds, and more. This valley attracts large predators like Grizzly Bears, wolves, coyotes, mountain lion, etc.

This private customized tour focused on viewing recluse wildlife in natural setting met and exceeded our expectations. We learned that intimate wildlife encounters occur in the early morning. Andrea picked us up promptly at 5:45am and within less than 30 minutes we were traveling on secluded paths watching a grizzly bear standing on its hind legs to greet the morning sunrise! Further on we witnessed a black mother bear protecting her cubs as a coyote ran by and scattered away after assessing that he would be in a losing battle. During the day we had a herd of bison slowing walking up to the front of our car and splitting across the passenger and driver window. We could have rolled down the window and touched them (we did not and do not recommend doing so!) in this, "up close and personal" experience. Andrea packed us a lunch as he brought us to a secluded area under a shaded tee and we dined on sandwiches as we watched a couple fly fishing by themselves in a local stream. He is extremely knowledgeable about Yellowstone and the environment and his description of the area was extremely informative. My wife and I had a memorable day and we highly recommend Andrea and his team of knowledgeable guides of you are looking for a private tour in Yellowstone.

This trip to Yellowstone was pure magic. Three outstanding days of beautiful spectacular views, exciting wildlife encounters, and a top notch guide. Yellowstone Adventure Tours proved to be a very professional, organized tour service. Despite some early confusion around our booking they made our visit exceptional. Our guide Andrea was outstanding, knowledgeable, accommodating and personable. He worked very hard to make sure we saw everything we needed and wanted to see. I can't say enough about how we appreciate his service. I would recommend this group without reservation. We will definitely be back.

I turned 60 this year and my dream since I was young was to see a wolf in the wild. I have traveled even to Alaska with no luck. Today Andrea made my dream come true. Not only did I see one wolf but 5 wolves along with Bison, Moose, Elk and more. Everything about Andrea and this trip was beyond my wildest dreams. I can’t say enough.
