We took the first tour of the day as I had read it was the best time for fewer people. It is absolutely true. We did not feel crowded, no lines, was able to view all decks easily. The views (and we had an overcast day) are remarkable. The views from the Skylift are even better and you get amazing 360* photographs. It was (for us) definitely worth the extra money and made our experience feel complete. We didn’t do the beam as two of us are afraid of narrow seats that high up in the air. I do think, however, you would get amazing pictures and you can get them in black and white. Lastly, EVERY staff member at The Rock are incredibly nice, make you feel welcome, will assist you with anything you need, and they were an added bonus to our overall visit.

Let me start by saying Guillermo was a very nice guy! I wish for myself I read the itinerary better. The tour was a lot of talking and history which I’m not interested in and that sounds rude but it was a waste of time for me. The rooftop garden was beautiful even in March. A lot of walking outside so if it’s cold dress up! We were lucky with a cold springish day. With that being said; the VIP allowed us to skip all the lines, and the Skylift and Beam experience were really cool! The experience ends in the bar with a glass of champagne as advertised. I don’t think it’s worth THAT much money. If it were priced at $250 for 2 people then I’d say that’s a better deal

Visited the Top of the Rock on the morning of my 50th Birthday. It was busy, even at 10.30am, I can’t stand heights, so wouldn’t go no near the edge. We pre-booked the The Beam experience, when we got to the top they were offering it for $5 off per person, which was not available on-line. I guess depending on the time of year you go, you might want to either pre-book or take a chance. I nearly bottled going on the Beam, but was forced on by my 13yr old. The staff were really friendly and reassuring. It was very nerve racking, but glad I did it. We went up to the Skylift level, and that was really windy and cold on that day. We went on the Skylift also, which seemed a bit more steady than the Beam. The photo package seemed good value for $40.
