What To Expect
1
Lili'uokalani Gardens
Lili’uokalani Gardens, is the largest, authentic Edo-style ornamental garden outside of Japan. Liliuokalani Gardens features Japanese imported stone lanterns, sculptures, arched bridges and gazebos from as early as 1916. The garden highlights plant species and building styles drawn from traditional Japanese temples and gardens. As you stroll along Waihonu Pond, crossing arched red bridges over koi ponds to pagodas, and a Japanese traditional teahouse named Shoroan, you might feel like you’re transported to the incredible temples of Kyoto.
2
Rainbow Falls
The Rainbow Falls cascade 80 ft over a lava cave that, according to legends, is home to the ancient Hawaiian goddess Hina, the goddess of the moon. The short climb to the top of the rainbow falls is well worth the effort. As you climb up along the left shoulder of the falls you walk past lush vegetation and some HUGE banyan trees. After walking for a few minutes you will be rewarded with a new perspective on the falls.
3
Big Island Candies
Established in 1977, Big Island Candies is home to Hawaii’s finest cookies, chocolates and confections. Only the freshest, highest quality ingredients go into their products. They proudly feature Big Island macadamia nuts and 100% pure Kona and Ka`u coffee from farms on Hawaii Island.
4
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
The park climbs from sea level to more than 13,000-feet, encompasses two volcanoes – Kīlauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes and Maunaloa, the world’s largest active subaerial volcano – and six of Earth’s climate zones along the way. On this tour, we will get a close look at the Kilauea crater, then visit the geothermal steam vents, Thurston Lava Tube, and the Chain of Craters Road to see the spectacular scenic of the solidified black lava.

What a joyous relaxing day to learn about the good (and bad) of volcanoes, see Japanese gardens, epic banyan treese, black sand beaches and the most gorgeous romantic waterfall my eyes could behold. Ernie, our tour guide, was such a sweet heart and great company for the day.

Great tour with a knowledgeable guide who went above and beyond to make sure we got the experience we were looking for. We were a small group and it was a very personalized experience.

The tour was ok - not worth the money we paid, you can easily see the volcano park without the guided tour. The tour guide kept showing old houses and everything was 100 years old according to him. Understand that there is a history behind but not every sentence should be that. Also we were 15 in our group and we hardly found option for our lunch where we stopped. Again not worth the money.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. We aim to have every guest happy and engaged with our tours. After speaking to our guide for your group, he mentioned that he did try to engage your group several times as to your interest as to better narrate corresponding facts and stories. In fact, he remembers your group talking to each other as he was narrating the tour. As to luch options, we did not have advanced notice that you were vegetarians and would advise on any future bookings to indicat that on the booking page's special requests. We have vegetarian options here in Hilo, but none that would be able to take a group of your size without prior booking.
