Ok. I booked the Voodoo and Cemetery tour with a lot of trepidation. I wanted to see St. Louis #1, but wasn't keen on the voodoo stuff. Wow, was I surprised. We had an outstanding guide in Anna who gave us an amazing tour loaded with history and the origin of the cultural, traditional and religious origins of voodoo in New Orleans. I would highly recommend taking this tour with Anna!

While my friend was as work, I decided to take the Voodoo/Cemetery Tour with the very knowledgeable Matt Bartels as the guide. I can’t say enough good things about this tour! You can tell Matt has a passion for what he does and he’s funny to boot! Without ruining it, I can tell you that if you take a tour with him, you’re going to come home with fun and creepy facts to weird out your friends. While the Cemetery was beautiful, his knowledge about Congo Square and the musical history of the city was probably my favorite part. THANK YOU FOR THE FUN TIME! The soggy shoes were well worth it.

We enjoyed a wonderful tour with Anna learning the history of voodoo and the city and broader history from Africa and Haiti, as well as the sights at the cemetery. Anna provided great historical context in an entertaining manner. Definitely a go!
