Texas Department of Transportation law requires that all children younger than 8 years old, unless taller than 4 feet 9 inches, be secured in a child safety seat whenever they ride in a vehicle. Stop at JDH Iron Design when open. Jimmy Don is a Texas treasure and as nice as they come. Please understand that we have no control over the operating hours of Jimmy Don's business, but we do stop when open and provide a discount ticket for shopping.

Hearing the history of Waco was most interesting, information about the ALICO building; the historical architecture, how much the HGTV Fixer upper shows and the Gaines’ have affected the health of the city.

Kathy was nice, but the tour seemed disjointed and we never made it to Jimmy Don’s. Guess I was expecting more from the Harp Design other than a gift shop. All in all, it was OK. PROs: an informative tour, guide was very pleasant and we did get to see inside of 3pig house. CONs: van was packed full of people, saw all of Waco (good and bad), and the stops were not what I expected.

Thank you for booking the tour and the nice words about Cathie. I'm also glad you got to go into a house done on the Fixer Upper show, as this is a once in a lifetime experience for most. My desire is each customer have the optimum experience and if you'd contact me (254-870-1412) I would like to refund you. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by disjointed and would be open to hearing more. We do stop at a couple of shops with strong ties to the show (Harp Design and the Harp House, and often the Magnolia Warehouse...Joanna's first shop), but unfortunately Jimmy Don's Waco location is temporarily closed at the moment. We absolutely show as much Fixer Upper/Waco site seeing in 2.5 hrs as we possibly can. I do take exception to the statement of "saw all of Waco (good and bad)". As a forever Wacoan we don't hide our city, but are proud of it and are a tight knit community. Waco has a large group of compassionate and giving people who don't hesitate to help their neighbor. I look forward to hearing from you.

This tour was fabulous and Joe made it that way. He was pleasant, informative, knowledgeable and funny! He made all of us aware of how wonderful the Gaines family is and how they give back to the town of Waco. He even took us to see one of the homes they did. Don’t miss this tour. It will make your Magnolia trip complete!
