Stop at JDH Iron Design when open. Jimmy Don is a Texas treasure and as nice as they come. Please understand that we have no control over the operating hours of Jimmy Don's business, but we do stop when open and provide a discount ticket for shopping.

This was a good tour. You got to see some Waco history and houses that weren’t part of the Chip and Joanna empire. We had a good experience getting to go inside the three little pigs house and we also met Jimmy Don which was cool. The bus AC didn’t work well and the seats are SUPER narrow so if your party (or the people with you) are bigger you will be squashed on top of each other. I’d suggest only having 10 to a tour to let people have a little more breathing room in the bus. The tour guide was nice. I didn’t realize this tour wasn’t part of Magnolia (I guess I assumed that from the title), it’s a private person that just knows where the houses are, has seen all the episodes and knows information about the people they renovated the houses for and what happened with several of the houses/owners after the renovations were complete. All that said, it was a good tour to round out our “all things Chip and Joanna Gaines” day in Waco.

Thanks for taking the tour. Yes, we are proud to be the only tour in Waco that provides the Fixer Upper fan the bucket list experience of taking you into a house done on the Fixer Upper show (based upon availability, which is about 90-95% of the time) and stop to meet Jimmy Don (as he is available). Although we do not claim (nor would we) to be a part of Magnolia, we are part of the Waco community and love all things Fixer Upper. We know the places to see and provide great information for all the fans...which includes us lol. AC Maintenance on the vans are done regularly and we just completed one last month. It is extremely hot in Texas at times, like when you were here, and we use the high top Ford Wagon Transit Vans with the large sliding door to get in and out. The van takes a few minutes to cool off when we stop and get out and get back on. But based upon your comment, we have made the decision to keep the van running during the heat when we make the stops to help. As for the seating, we only sell the number of adult seating allowed by the specification of the van manufacturer. However during the extreme heat of the day, currently we block off 2 seats for temperature comfort. Hope this information helps and thank you for the feedback.

We took an enjoyable tour around Waco seeing some of the homes Chip and Joanna Gaines have remodeled on their show and got to actually tour one of those homes. We also visited Harp Designs and Jimmy Don’s stores along the way. Our tour guide Cathie was very knowledgeable about the area and enthusiastic about all things Fixer Upper. It was a very enjoyable tour and we felt like it was reasonably priced considering it was a couple of hours long. Thanks Cathie!

If you wanna get a full immersion Joanna and Chip fix on your next visit to Waco, reserve your seats on tour. Our tour guide Cathy was outstanding. She provided their backstory while showing us several properties featured on their series. We even had the opportunity to go inside one of the houses. This is a perfect way to round off your next Waco experience whether you are Fixer Upper/Magnolia devotees or just along for the ride.
