Harrison was our guide. He was awesome. He went at our pace as we had never done this before which we really appreciated. We booked the senior tour as my husband has had health challenges that make it difficult for him to walk for any length of time so this was perfect. We lucked out that we were the only couple who booked for this day so we ended up with a private tour. We will be back to do this again now that we know what to expect.

We did the river paddle and sacred falls hike with Izzy and had an amazing experience. The kayak was a nice easy 2 mile river paddle and then the real fun began. The 3 or so mile hike is part jungle walk / part rock scramble. All was worth it to get to sacred falls and swim. Izzy shared a lot of knowledge of her island and their history and culture which made it super interesting. Overall this is a definite must do tour if you have good water shoes and are OK walking on uneven slippery surfaces.

Aloha, Izzy does it again!! Thanks for your kind words. Will share with Izzy. And thanks for reminding folks to bring good water shoes; the trail can be slippery. A hui hou, Micco

We took a “Wailua River Kayak and Hike to Sacred Falls” tour today. Izzy was our guide and she was absolutely fabulous!! This five-hour tour was a perfect blend of river kayaking, jungle hiking and swimming in the pool at the base of a 125-foot waterfall. Izzy was extremely friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable about the vegetation in the jungle, as well as a lot of the sacred Hawaiian traditions and history of the area. We feel very lucky to have spent the afternoon with Izzy as she went well above and beyond her role as a guide. If you decide to book a tour with Kayak Kauai, be sure to request her as your guide.

Aloha Shawna, Thanks for the "five stars" or are they dots? Izzy provides just the right amount of fun and challenge while keeping everyone safe. She brings a real love for the resource and the groups that she guides. We are all very lucky to have on board. Keep paddling and hiking and thanks for taking the time to share. A hui hou, Micco
