My husband had never been to Waimea Canyon before so I was looking for fun ways to show him and for us to experience it. When I came across Keko Tours and all the amazing reviews they had, I knew we had to give it a shot. As it turns out, the reason they have to many great reviews is because they truly are a great company with personable, passionate guides who know the island and towns and are filled with information! We had Neno and Micah who both grew up on the island and had so much history to share with us along with great food recommendations (seriously, thank you!). We stopped at 3 beautiful outlooks along the way and they were our personal photographers. They knew how to get the best shot even when a T-Rex is on the loose (you will find out on the tour-it's awesome). They made the drive interactive and we learned so much and had a lot of fun. Once we got to the top outlook in the canyon, they had everyone practice a lap or two on the bikes to make sure everyone was comfortable with the bikes and they were sized properly. We then went down a little ways and began our 11.7 mile bike ride. While that might sound daunting, it was downhill. You will be riding the brakes more than you will actually be pedaling. We did the sunset ride and I have mixed feelings about it. The sun is in your eyes a majority of the ride, but you finish your ride at the beach where they have a cooler of drinks for your to enjoy and you get to watch sunset and it was beautiful. If you are not a comfortable bike rider, I would recommend going at an earlier time so the sun is not in your eyes (and yes we were wearing sunglasses), but if you do not mind, it is a beautiful way to end the day with the sunset at the beach. Regardless the time you go, I highly recommend going with Keko Adventures, they were great!

This was a great way to tour Waimea Canyon. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and fun to spend the afternoon with. The ride up was amazing and we stopped at some great lookout spots that I would have missed had I drove up on my own. The bike ride down was so much fun and got to see a great sunset at the bottom at the ocean. A+!

Nino and Micah were fantastic guides! Great stories and tips along the way. They made us feel like family and kept everyone engaged the whole time. Loved their trivia and music. The downhill bike portion was safe and exhilarating. Everyone felt comfortable to go at their own pace. The views on the way down were stunning.
