Walk with Spirits: A Haunted Pub Crawl in San Francisco

Overview
Part bar-hop, part ghost tour, this guided walking experience takes you through the most historic haunts of Gold Rush era San Francisco. Starting in the only part of downtown to survive the 1906 Earthquake and Fire, Jackson Square, crossing the infamous “Devil’s Acre”, and ending in the legendary Chinatown, you’ll learn the history of San Francisco through the stories of those spirits who still haunt these streets.

Meet the ghosts of desperate miners, forlorn women, and shanghaied sailors while walking what was once known as the Barbary Coast. And unlike a standard ghost tour, we’ll actually enter into four haunted locations where, if you choose, you might sip on that other kind of spirit.

Met at Barbarossa for pickup then walked to Old Ship Saloon. Stories were good, however the trip went down alley ways and into the “shady” parts of town. Definitely uncomfortable. We ended at the Lion’s Den and the guide just disappeared. Have no idea where he went or why we ended at that place.

Hi Karen, So sorry you didn't get the full history of Lion's Den which is a reincarnation of a club from the 1930s/40s. It is confirmed haunted by the new owner and bartenders who experienced lots of activity during construction. However, I am shocked that you considered anywhere on the tour "shady." People come from all over the world to visit Chinatowns alleyways. The only other alleyways we traverse are in Jackson Square - one of the chicest parts of San Francisco! I shudder to think what you thought of the rest of the city.

Excellent evening walk with a knowledgeable and passionate guide! Time for food, drinks and great stories while never feeling rushed. I've taken many tours before and this one was top tier! Especially if you're interested in all things paranormal. Highly recommend!

This tour was everything I could have dreamed of and more. I am a native San Franciscan and have always been incredibly intrigued by the paranormal. The combination of history with the stories about spirits and ghosts left me captivated until the very end. This is a tour I would definitely go on again because it was so rich with information! A smashing time!!
