Reynolds Square
Our tour begins here next to the statue of John Wesley. We talk about the Olde Pink House Restaurant and Tavern across the street and its historical and cultural significance.

Historic River Street
We'll talk about River Street and its historic significance, as well as its current role as the premier dining/drinking/entertainment venue in Savannah. Also a brief talk about slavery in Savannah.

Johnson Square
We stop here and talk about Savannah's experiences in the American Revolution and Civil Wars.

Wright Square
Here we talk about several aspects of Savannah's culture.

Chippewa Square
At the statue of Savannah's founder, James Edward Oglethorpe, we talk about Savannah's origins.

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist
Here, we talk about the history of this church. If open, we go inside for a look.

Hamilton-Turner House
Briefly talk about the history of this beautiful bed and breakfast inn.

Andrew Low House
Briefly talk about the adult home of Girl Scouts of America founder Juliette Gordon Lowe.

Monterey Square
We take a look at the Mercer Williams House Museum and the Temple of the Congregation Mickve Israel.

We briefly talk about the history of this historic mansion in downtown Savannah.

Our guide was Martin S. The tour lasted two hours. Lots of history, architecture, places to eat, parks, wars, and key players in Savannah's history. Well worth the time and money. For the most part the walk was easy and at our pace. This is not a group tour just the two of us.
