Not taken to the Unknow soldier memorial. Not enough time at Arlington. Did not get a proper view of the White House. The return trip was horrendous. Around noon the tour coordinator informed us that there was a puncture to one of the wheels. He said it would be ready by the time we visited the museum at 3.45 pm. This got delayed to 4.30 pm. Around 5 pm we were asked to board the bus. Unfortunately, the puncture had not been repaired and the driver and the guide seemed to be helpless in giving us any concrete information as to when the bus company would reach with the wheel. We continued to sit in the bus till around 7 pm when we stared calling the Tour America # +12122460597. The operator was of no help and he kept repeating that he cannot share any details of whom we could raise the level of complaints to. The weather was bad and it was raining, we then requested the guide to at least take us to a place where we could get some thing to eat and use the restroom facility. Please remember there were also children on board. The guide then agreed to take us to the Union station nearby where we could get out of the bus and get refreshed. Finally around 8.30 pm, the guide informed us the repair works were completed and we could board the bus. We finally got back to NYC at midnight. What was frustrating was the absence of any update and any concrete information from Tour America. It really should not have taken close to 6-8 hours to get the bus repaired. In this time gap, a spare bus could have been sent from NYC or a replacement could have been got from Washington itself. The driver and the guide were good but the ending was poor. Regards. Manoj.
