Although the bus journey was long, and in the grips of a heatwave warning, the guide Marcos, and driver Pete did a great job at keeping all entertained. Marcos showed his knowledge and passion for his work. The sites on the schedule were all delivered, and with explanations and stories aplenty. Great trip, but long.

Other reviewers are stating that the tour was rushed. I think that anyone should be able to work out, that a trip from NY to Washington, which involves about 8 hours+ driving, isn't going to leave a lot of time to visit each site. Saying that we went so that we could see a lot of the places that we have come to know through films and the media over the years, so we could put it into some sort of perspective. And it achieved it's aim for us. The trip was well organised and run, with, I think, enough time at each site, I mean, how long do you actually need to look at the White House? There was a stop on both the outward and return journey and enough time over lunch for a walk around the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Marcos the guide was informative and knowledgeable and tried to make sure that, as far as possible, everyone kept in the shade, throughout, what was a very hot day. If you want an in depth look at Washington, this isn't the tour for you. If like, us you want a brief overview, so you can say "I've been there", I would highly recommend it.
