Seeing the monuments at sunset and by moonlight is amazing! It was so much fun to travel in a small group and listen to the interesting stories told to us by our guide, Ally. She was personable, knowledgeable, articulate and fun. Who doesn't love a good story? As we rode through the streets of Washington the breeze greeted us from both sides of the small vehicle. Somehow that added to the spirit of adventure. I learned so much about this impressive city. The next day it was good to pass a building and know its name and a little of its history. Our two granddaughters, ages 12 and 13, accompanied us - they loved it also.
Didn't realize I didn't rate this last year - it popped up when I logged into my Viator account. I've done this Viator tour twice - once in 2013 and in 2016. Highly recommend - they wait for you forever - this time around 2016 my son and I walked to the back of the Lincoln Memorial and discovered a stunning view - no one was back there. I got some really cool photos of him.
Mike was a terrific and entertaining tour guide for this up close and personal tour of the major DC monuments. My one issue is that the description claims that the Vietnam Veterans and Korean War memorials are included on the tour, and they were not, at least not on ours. Other than that, I'd rate it a top notch experience.
