Seeing everything all lit up was a spectacular experience! The night gave it a more dramatic appeal. Our guide - MJ - was knowledgeable, solicitous, and humorous! Jefferson Memorial could use an elevator but it was almost a spiritual experience! Maybe the lack of oxygen from all the stair climbing did it. LOL What a beautiful building. I thing Jefferson, the architect, would have been proud! The walk back was a but long because of where the trolley had to park. Lincoln Memorial was awesome -Loved the entry to the elevator at Lincoln and that antique brass elevator was amazing. - don't ever replace it for "modern". Bathrooms could use some maintenance and expansion. Would have loved a bit more time to see everything at this stop, but the time was limiting. I missed the Vietnam Memorial :-( MLK Statue and quote wall were most inspiring!!! What a legacy! Easy directions and access. One tour had reflective necklaces on - maybe that would be good.:-) Open air was a great idea but a bit chilly on the knees. LOL Overall, a wonderful first time experience and would do it again - but in the summer!
