My wife and I had a great time on this tour. Mike did a spectacular job at talking about the history of Asheville, the history of the park services, showing us all sorts of plant, rock, and geographical features, plus leading us through wonderful kikes to great waterfalls! It was a great day! He also offered snacks and water for the trip as well. We were picked up at our hotels which was very convenient as well.

Ms. Gruen was a very well-informed and very congenial guide and knew how to suit the hike to the wishes of the guests (which in this case was just me). We actually covered more ground than I thought we would, both in terms of hiking and learning (especially botany, but also history of sustainable forestry in the region). And the area is so beautiful, especially the waterfalls. Totally recommend this travel experience.

My wife and I are huge Day hikers and are so glad we did this hike! Randy our guide was so considerate, thoughtful and very very knowledgeable. Three beautiful falls. Two were easy short hikes one was about a mile round trip. We tried but couldn’t agree which of the falls was the prettiest. We ended the day with a greater appreciation of the natural environment and beauty around Asheville.
