Not as well known as Antelope Canyon but a less crowded experience that is well worth the visit. Waterhole and Antelope are different but each offered beautiful opportunities for photographs. Less than 10 minutes from Glen Canyon, the Glen Canyon Dam, Horseshoe Bend and about 20 minutes from Antelope Canyon. The tour is roughly 1.5 miles with an incredible opportunity to take photographs. I have included only 4 of the many taken. Our guide, Garrett (we nicknamed him the "Gazelle" for his ability to navigate the canyon walls to show us the best photo opportunities), was personable and knowledgeable about the landscape, the history of the land and the geologic ways the canyon was formed. Waterhole Canyon is really 3 separate canyons and does require a little physical exertion but Garrett is attentive to the needs of his group. We weren't rushed through the canyons but instead had a nicely paced tour. I enjoyed the smaller groups (as compared to Antelope) and the personalized attention from our guide. I truly recommend this location. I don't think that you'll be disappointed.

The tour was fabulous!!!! Our guide Ryan did a wonderful job and was knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this tour. I DO NOT recommend booking it through trip advisor, as it cost me $30 more than from their own website. Trip Advisor kept popping up and I went with it, but I paid $114, while tix through Waterholes Canyon were $81!!! I got ripped off by Trip Advisor!!!

We had a great experience and our tour guide Jake was very good although relatively new he was still great. The views are amazing, and tge canyons did not disappoint. I would advise extreme overweight people this would not be a Tour for you because you do walk about 4 miles total and you have to crawl through some smaller cracks of the canyon walls. We did see an adult Owl sitting and watching us which was pretty cool. I'd recommend the company to charge a dollar more and give a free bottle of water out or have a cooler filled about halfway point as we didn't bring any and it would have been nice to have. We did have some in the car but we were not advised to bring that.
