What impressed me initially is that Michelle of Savannah Belle is one of the few tour guides that I know of who's actually taken (and passed with flying colors) the city of Savannah's history test for tour guides. Her father was a historian and her husband is a history teacher, so I guess it's in her blood. We went on her ghost tour and loved it. She didn't sensationalize or resort to silly gimmicks as so many others do. She shared with us all of Savannah's most infamous ghosts and legends in the context of well-grounded historical fact. Michelle also shared many of her personal ghostly encounters and experiences. Wear comfortable shoes as she covers a lot of ground in about 1 1/2 -2 hours. There are plenty of stops along the way to soak up the atmosphere, take photos, and ask questions. Next time we visit Savannah we will be sure to take her history tour.

We took the walking tour with Michelle on Sunday, May 30th. It was the perfect way to begin our visit to Savannah. Michelle is very knowledgeable and completely down to earth. The tour covers an interesting mix historical information, haunted legend and local gossip. You walk about two miles over two and a half hours, so the pace is not stressful at all. Michelle is happy to stop and answer questions, and offered several good suggestions on things to see and places to eat during our stay. This is a MUCH better way to see and learn about the historic city than on a trolley tour. I highly recommend Savannah Belle Walking Tours!

All I have to say is I am so glad that I chose to do this walking tour with my best friend who is out from california. The two of us never realised how much history was within the heart of Savannah. Michelle our super cool tour guide really made the whole two hours exciting and fun. The prices were great and I cant wait to do the tour with my parents when they come out to visit. I highly reccomend this tour to anyone who is visiting or just wants to have a good time and learn about this magnificint city.
