Everyone visiting Savannah must go on the walking tour with Michelle. My fiancƩe grew up in Savannah but he said he learned more about the city during the 90 min walking tour than he did the entire time he lived there. I fell in love with Savannah and its history and the people living there listening to all the stories Michelle told. - Hillary

Michelle from Savannah Belle Walking Tours is great! I called her a few weeks before our trip and she gave me loads of recommendations on where to eat and how to spend time before our 6p ghost tour. We met up with her in Wright Square and she took us all around the Historic District telling great stories with plenty of history. Savannah is such a beautiful town and I'd definitely recommend touring it with Michelle!

What impressed me initially is that Michelle of Savannah Belle is one of the few tour guides that I know of who's actually taken (and passed with flying colors) the city of Savannah's history test for tour guides. Her father was a historian and her husband is a history teacher, so I guess it's in her blood. We went on her ghost tour and loved it. She didn't sensationalize or resort to silly gimmicks as so many others do. She shared with us all of Savannah's most infamous ghosts and legends in the context of well-grounded historical fact. Michelle also shared many of her personal ghostly encounters and experiences. Wear comfortable shoes as she covers a lot of ground in about 1 1/2 -2 hours. There are plenty of stops along the way to soak up the atmosphere, take photos, and ask questions. Next time we visit Savannah we will be sure to take her history tour.
