What To Expect

Johnson Square

We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

I booked a tour with Savannah Belle Walking Tours, and really enjoyed the 2 hour walking trip around downtown Savannah. Michelle, the tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She could answer any question and was just fun to talk to! I've been on other tours before, and they just don't tell you all the neat little facts that she knows. And you can't beat the price. Way cheaper than the other tours I've taken, and twice as good! I asked, and Michelle said she does ghost tours and private tours in addition to the regular history tours. Don't miss this tour if you go to Savannah. I will definitely do it again someday!

Excellent walking tour! This was the best part of our trip to Savannah. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of Savannah history and presents it in a way that is very accessible. She covers topics ranging from the American Revolution up to recent movie productions done in Savannah. I highly recommend this especially for first-time Savannah visitors (as we were). I think I would get a lot out of taking the tour again!

I was only going to be in Savannah a very short time so wanted to learn as much as I could and believe me, I sure did. I took a Sunday morning walking tour with Michelle, on Nov.8 and lucky for me, I had her all to myself. What a wonderful tour for 2 hours plus. She fed me with so much information, it was really delightful. The price is right. You can pay on line and they even offer a senior discount. I would recommend Savannah Belle to everyone.
