For each passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, or combined weights of 420 lbs per couple, an additional seat must be purchased at the time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
It is recommend that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour

Each passenger receives a two-way headset for ongoing communication and pilot narration.

View the resorts of Kaanapali and Kapalua. Soar above Hawaii's tallest waterfalls (including the 1,750-foot Kahiwa Falls) along Molokai's remote and isolated north shore. Skip the drive to Hana, skip the trip up Haleakala, skip the Laua if need be .... get on any Air Maui flight for a real thrill. I know it is not inexpensive -- Look for coupons, ask about single seat deals and Costco members look on Costco.com. Remember ... you can not replicate this trip on your own unless you have your own multi-million dollar helicopter and pilot. Our incredible 60 minute West Maui and Molokai flight was the highlight of our trip. The view from above is indescribable --- if you have seen any of the Jurrasic Park movies you can relate to the valleys and waterfalls because the scenes were shot here. The ride was amazingly quiet, smooth and scenic. The headphones muffle any engine noise, allowing the pilot to describe the scenery and to hear some nice background music. Everything from start to finish; making the reservation, reservation confirmation, reminder, directions, pre-flight briefing, flight, pilot and office staff were spot-on perfect and professional. This is a popular activity ..... make your reservation now so you don't get skunked out when you arrive in Maui. You will be sorry.

I was a little leary purchasing my tickets through Costco for this excursion, but it turned out to be incredible. Not only did I save money by buying my tickets through Costco, I had their warranty to back me up. Once I had my tickets, I spoke with Kat on the phone and she was awesome! Answered all of my questions and gave me all of the info I would need once we arrived. We went in the summer (mid-July), but because the helicopters had air conditioning, it wasn't a problem. The views were breathtaking, definitely something we would do again every time we go to Hawaii. I would recommend flying with Air Maui again because of the experience and the knowledge of all of the girls in the reservation department, and our pilot. Jamie was awesome! He answered all of our questions about the locations we were flying over and even played music for us that made the ride even more memorable. The only suggestion I would have to anyone going on a helicopter tour is to wear dark clothes with no writing or stripes on them. I was wearing a dark green shirt, but it had stripes and they asked me if I would mind wearing a jacket (which they provided) while on board. It was a light weight coat, and with the AC, I didn't even notice. By far the best thing we did while on Maui, and we can't wait to get back and do it again! Highly recommend using Air Maui, ask for Kat and Jamie for incredible service!
