Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

Well suited for advance and intermediate riders. Not recommended for novice riders as horses will trot uphill and downhill at several points during the 2 hour ride. Beginners who are comfortable riding a trotting horse should do fine on the trail. Helmet, saddlebag, and complimentary bottled water were available. There are 2 parts of the trail where horses can gallop. We had 3 experienced guides for a group of 12 riders. There were 3 beautiful photo stops. We sampled 2 kinds of fruit from the trees during our ride, including lilikoi and guava.

This was my first time horseback riding, and the experience was wonderful! I was the only one who booked a reservation that morning (people might have been worried about rain), so I was able to get a private ride with my two guides, Maggy and Chad. They were both super friendly/personable, and knowledgeable about the area, plants we passed, and horses. I was even able to do a short run with my horse, and had a blast! MMA had refreshments available, and I also got to try lilikoi that we picked during our ride. The views on the ride were also stunning, and the weather ended up being perfectly clear! I would highly recommend this experience, and would definitely book again the next time I'm in Maui!

Friendly staff, well-trained and gentle horses, beautiful surroundings, and every detail taken care of for you. It was a wonderful day and my 8 year old daughter loved it.
