My husband and I made this part of our 5-year anniversary trip. We did the afternoon ride (which is one of the last afternoons they will be doing they mentioned). It was fun - just the 2 of us and our guide. We were on the horses for a little over an hour and got to cross the street and ride through the brush to the edge of the mountain overlooking the beautiful cliffs and clear blue water. We went in mid-August and the weather was perfect. This company is all family run and operated and they each run different sections of the ranch. Next time, we will try the ATVs. The horses are well taken care of and bathed/fed after every ride. You don't need to take much with you, as you will be holding on to the reigns the whole time. We were very sore the next day and had an 8 hour flight back to the mainland, so we don't recommend riding the day before your flight - makes for a long and uncomfortable plane ride! haha. But we highly recommend this place for the staff and the adventure.

Stacy, Kristin, (not sure of spelling), AJ and Nick make up a great group of people running a first rate business. Stacy and Kristin take good care of getting you up to the stables and mounted up for the ride. Nick and AJ are great train guides. They work with riders of all experience to make sure you have a wonderful ride. Unlike many trail rides there were a couple opportunities to run the horses, if you wanted to. The second time we ran them, a couple of riders did not feel up to it. No problem, Nick kept them back and brought them along a at pace they felt comfortable. The morning ride is a long ride which makes it a great value, especially when you factor in the views and the staff. A nice touch is having some small saddle bags that you can put soft drinks, juice or water (provided) to have on the trail. NOTE: Some people have had trouble finding the parking lot where you transfer to a van to get to the stables because GPS links seem be be faulty. If you book enough in advance, you will be sent an email with a link that seems to work fine. The parking lot is on the LEFT side coming from Kahalui, regardless of what your GPS says. Kristin says they are trying to get Google to correct the issue.

We did the horse ride and it was fabulous. The guides were very friendly and seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. One picked fres Lilikoi fruit for us, one told us local stories. The horses were in excellent condition. Would do this again in a heartbeat!
