Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

Riding alone with instructor, owner of the ranch Michelle The group I was supposed to go with went horseback riding and I went on the ATV’s

Kevin was scheduled for a horseback ride with 2 others. As a courtesy I contacted him since the body weight given was right on the weight limit. He was informed that their is a weigh in and if he thought he was over the weight limit there was still time to get a refund. After a lengthy conversation He insisted he would be fine. At check-in Kevin exceeded the weight limit by well over 25lbs. I explained to him if a horse can’t carry the extra weight on this strenuous trail and fell on him he could be badly hurt or our horse could be badly injured and I can’t do it. Kevin was given several options. Kevin chose to ride ATVs at no additional cost. The other 2 travelers did not want to ride ATVs with him and chose to continue on their horseback ride. Luckily an employee Michelle was kind enough to take him on a Private Atv ride. She even sat with him for 30 minutes at the ocean so Kevin could get photos with his friends on the horseback . I feel we went above and beyond to try to give this customer a beautiful experience.

Aloha and thanks for an outstanding ride adventure. It was a real treat to see the majestic mountains and picturesque ocean view of the west side of Maui. Thanks to Kristen, who was wonderfully friendly and the guides Fred and Nick who were very nice, keeping us safe and sharing the knowledge of Hawai'i precious land. Loved the horses, they were well behaved and had the coolest fun names. Mine was Cojack and my friends horse was Golden. I'm a intermediate rider and I enjoyed the quick sprints we got to do. The horses love to run. Can't wait to go again. Stay safe and many blessings to all the staff. Mahalo, LaMar

One of our favorite activities in Maui! The guides were excellent, the horses were well trained, and the scenery was breathtaking. This tour is for all levels of horseback riding experience. Highly recommend!
