My husband and I took the Wet Exit and Recovery class from Bill and Gina. I was a little apprehensive about turning my kayak upside down (while I was in it!), but Gina and Bill were great. They explained what we were going to do and how we needed to do it. They taught us how to get out under water if we flipped the kayak, how to work together to get the water out if the kayak, and get back in as we'll as what to do if you need to right the boat and get back in alone. Bill is a great teacher and they were very supportive. They made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. I not only learned a lot but had fun, too. We've been kayaking for 30 years and I realize now this is a skill we probably should have had much sooner.. Highly recommend. Great experience.

This is an Excellent, Professional, Experienced company and staff: Adventures in Florida’s selection and use of Lake Mills Park for Wet Exits, Recovery and Rescue training is perfect. The water is clean, the launch and training area, as well as the lake bottom soil texture, are very well suited for this class. Our experienced, professional instructor, Astrid, is very well organized, articulate, and (after demonstrating each training phase) patiently coaches while we execute the maneuvers. Patience being key to helping us learn by repetition. The most satisfying moment (after finishing this class) was when I realized that my paddling skills had significantly been improved and I left the Park with a higher level of paddling self confidence. I am looking forward to further training with them, and participating in some of Adventures in Florida’s schedule tours.
