We had 18 family members including 8 children 10 years old and younger on the Sunset Cruise. The boat is very clean and comfortable. The pizza, hot dogs and drinks are an added bonus. We saw several dolphins and the captain made sure everyone had a view and slowed the boat or stopped so we could enjoy them for a few minutes each time we came across some. He also gave a little history of Cape May and different parts of the beach. It was fun to see a view of the beach and land from the boat! Great trip, we had so much fun together on this cruise.

The first day we were scheduled to go the cruise was cancelled for inclement weather; 45 minutes before the scheduled sailing time. They allowed us to choose the cruise we wanted to swap for, since we were only in town for the weekend. When we actually got out on the water, the ship, the route we took and the views were nice. I just wish the weather would've cooperated. We saw a few dolphins but no whales. The captain was comical and a good narrator during the ride. That was fun but the water got so choppy we spent the trip going back to the dock sitting inside. Not bad for the price.

We take the sunset cruise every year when we head to Cape May for our vacation. We always see dolphins - we've never seen a whale, but maybe someday we will! The staff are very helpful, the captain does a great job of sharing his knowledge of the area and its history as well as his knowledge about dolphins and other wildlife. This is a trip that everyone enjoys, from young children to senior citizens. The sunset cruise circles the island and stays close to the shore. There are other cruises available, some are longer and go further out to sea, but this is the only one we've tried so far. Watch for coupons to help reduce the cost! Many hotels and visitor centers offer their brochures and sometimes they include a coupon.
