We went mid-week with about 30 on board. Captain was quite informative during the cruise as we passed different areas of interest. Cruise went through the canal created during WWII (making Cape May an island), then into Delaware Bay, and along the Atlantic Ocean coast, back to the canal and dock. Saw dolphins in the Atlantic; captain circled around for a while while talking about them.

I went on the trip yesterday and had a fantastic time with my family. We did not see any marine life but had an incredibly relaxing and beautiful journey around cape may. Also, they gave us all free passes to come back whenever we choose to try our luck again on another boat ride. These new passes never expire making it incredibly convenient for all of us with my families hectic schedules. Staff was super friendly as well!

I have been on whale watches out of Cape Cod. My husband was never on one. It was an ovecast day so we decided to go on a whale watch, because "they" don't care if it's cloudy or rainy. They are wet anyway. The boat goes out the canal past the Coast Guard Academy so you get a view of that. As soon as we rounded the 1st rock fishing jetty, there were dolphins! They are not afraid of the boat. They will come within 10 to 15 feet of it. There were pods of mothers & babies. There were so many. We continued parallel to the beach stopping when we would find large groups. We saw them spout & saw a few "showing off" you were close enough you could look them in the eyes. We continued about 7 miles out into the ocean in search of whales. We didn't see any. Saw a few lone dolphins (from what little I know from college Marine Bio, might be adult males). On the way back once again we stopped by the rock jetty for another visit with the dolphins then back to the dock. Some individual whales migrate, some stay in place year round. This time of year those who migrate go to New England. So seeing a whale in the summer here is hit or miss. I have seen whales, or more like flippers, tails & backs on every Cape Cod trip. I never saw so MANY and such active dolphins in Cape Cod. We were pretty sure we would see a lot because we had been watching them from the beach the day before and there were more than usual. They offer a morning and sunset dolphin only cruise that costs about $10 less. We enjoyed being on the boat, but the dolphins were definitely the highlight of the cruise! They have a galley with pizza and snacks, soda wine & beer. Maybe other items. My husband was the one who walked back to get the drinks. I highly recommend this for a cloudy or non- beach day!
