This was my third and last Cape May Whale Watcher trip. Same exact thing each time I went. We ride close to the coast for the majority of the trip. Saw a few dolphins. I'd say less then 20 but they said we saw hundreds. Don't know what they were looking at because I only saw less then 20. Then they turn off in another direction away from the coast and say we are now off to look for whales while traveling at a fairly high speed. You will never see a whale going that fast. And the as your 3 hr trip comes close to an end the coast suddenly reappears and they tell you it's time to wrap up the trip and that's just how it goes. Sometimes you see whales and dolphins and sometimes you don't. Having gone through the same routine 3 times I would guess that there rarely any whales and if the highlight of the trip is to only see dolphins then it should be called a dolphin watch and more time should be spent viewing the dolphins.

We had an amazing experience at cape may whale watcher today. We spent almost 5 hours at sea, the captain wouldnā€™t give up searching for whales and when we finally find them we spend more than 30 min watching them. The entire crew is Fantastic, everybody was so nice and friendly. I highly recommend this tour we had a wonderful experience and we saw whales and dolphins.

There was no warning that the seas were going to be rough and my family would spend three hours bobbing up and down. It was a pleasant sunny day. There should have been a disclaimer that the seas were rough and the odds of us spotting a whale were slim. Over 120 people boarded the ship that day. A 'three hour cruise". Half the people were sick and the other half were drunk spilling beer as they tried to walk. Didn't see anything and was very miserable. The first floor was loaded with families laying with their heads down on the tables. It was terrible. We wondered if we could swim to shore. If the water is not suitable, someone should alert the passengers. So disappointed.
