I called the booking company the morning of excursion. I ended up having an open day with a work trip unexpectedly and wanted to book a whale watching tour and was hoping for smaller group size. Called booker at 6am directly to state that couldn’t reach the tour operator so wanted to verify that there would be no issue booking for 1 person for 9am excursion. They ensured me it would be perfectly fine to book and there was an opening. I drove to location early to make sure I could find it. Ended up walking around for over 40 minutes trying to figure out if I was at the right place since the directions just said lounge in front of marina office. Tried to message to tour operator on their chat feature and called over a dozen times. No answer. Called booking company to cancel and then told me I couldn’t until I talked to tour operator. Finally got a response by phone after the time the tour was supposed to start. Ended up sitting in the parking for 2 hours trying to scramble to find another tour, but they all already left between 8-10am. Complete waste of my morning.

We always strive to provide a seamless experience for our guests, but unfortunately, this review misrepresents the situation. You attempted to book a last-minute tour through Viator at 6 AM, well outside of our business hours, and without direct confirmation from our team. No whale-watching companies operate at that hour, and our office opens later in the morning. When we became aware of your situation, we promptly offered you an alternate time for the tour, but unfortunately, that did not work for you. This is exactly why we always recommend booking directly with the operator—especially for last-minute reservations—to ensure availability and proper communication. Had you contacted us during business hours, we could have provided real-time availability and saved you the unnecessary wait. While we understand your frustration, this was not a failure on our part but rather a miscommunication from the third-party booking platform. For future travelers, we strongly encourage booking directly and calling the operator during business hours to confirm availability before finalizing last-minute reservations.

It was a great time. Very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable crew. Clean boat I have done tours like this in big boats geared for lots of people...but this is so much better. More personalized. We got to ask questions and learn about other things.. like local fishes and birds as this was the captain's other degree. Learning their story exuded their passion for marine life. They do this out of the joy it brings. This is not about the $$$ type of operation!! Would definitely go again!
