We thoroughly enjoyed our whale watching experience! The boat was clean, offered a variety of basic food at reasonable prices and the staff were great. They offered informative commentary throughout and raced from site to site at impressive speeds. We were thrilled with 5 sightings, including a playful whale that pounded its tail on the water several times in rapid succession. The boat was large enough to accommodate the group they took out and everyone had a great chance to see each of the whales.

A friend who did the tour 4 years ago recommended Cape Ann and there was even a Groupon to make it more affordable. This was our first whale watching tour with Cape Ann Whale Watch and it was amazing! We had a beautiful day. The crew was very professional and friendly and the boat was comfortable. The first whale surprised us before we even got to the feeding ground. Ultimately we saw 4 whales during our tour. One was a mother and baby with another female. We appreciated the narration so we could learn more and then at times there was silence so we could enjoy the moment. I thought there was a good balance of both. The captain did a good job of rotating the boat so people on either side could have a turn seeing the whales. The crew also had a moment that the kids on the boat could learn more about whales with various hands on toys, pictures, etc. There were also stickers and whale photos available on board for purchase. We would definitely do this tour again and would highly recommend! I now follow them on Facebook and love seeing the photos and videos!

Second Whale Watch with Cape Ann in as many years, did not disappoint. 6 whales, a shark, and sunfish. Most captivating personally was clearly watching a humpback, nearly at the surface, travel under the boat from one side to another-better than an aquarium! Crew was very informational, Captain alternated sides of the boat for everyone to see, and passengers were very courteous and thoughtful. Will be taking this trip again!
