The staff was super friendly and well informative, they made sure they delivered on the experience. This has been something I have always wanted to see, and I got a good show. We saw four humpback whales; Spoon, Sword, Bungee, and Clamp. What an experience, they showed great caution when around them and educated us on the life of that species. Absolutely one of the best things I did on this trip and would recommend to anyone wanting to see whales.

Normally on a tour like this the captain will steer the boat towards any whale seen in the distance, and turn the boat to the left or right so one side gets a good view of the whale, then change sides for the next time. Our captain did not. We only saw one whale the whole time, but each time she'd surface, except one, the captain pulled the boat even with her on the right side. So we who were on the left side only saw one whale one time for a minute or two. The boat was so crowded it was impossible to see anything in the water from inside the covered area, so even when I tried to get us across to the right side when told that the whale surfaced, we couldn't see anything. My girlfriend is handicapped, so I finally told her to stay put, that the captain would make sure both sides got the views. He didn't. Also, there was a gentleman positioned himself in the middle of the crowd and gave information about different whales we might see, but he had no amplification and we couldn't squeeze ourselves through the crowd to hear anything he said. Worst whale watch I've been on.

This was not our first whale watch but true to their word, Cape Ann Whale Watch made this among the most enjoyable. It was the first whale watch for our 8 year old grandkids, though, and they were blown away. They could not get over how close to the whales we actually were. Take this trip - you'll love it.
