Watching the whales breech, feed open mouth, swim next to the ship was amazing. Fabulous trip today with calm sea, sunshine, pleasant temperatures. Very professional and pleasant staff, good commentary, personalized explanations: staff going around the ship with pictures and piece of baline. These tours are expensive, but worth every penny (if you see as many whales as we saw today). Going in and out of Gloucester harbor is also a visual treat.

I had the most amazing time on my first ever whale watch, it was incredible. The whales were beautiful, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We saw two finback whales from afar, and at least five different humpback whales, two of which followed us for a while and gradually swam closer to the boat. One came close enough to see the blow holes in fine detail, and several dove down, alloys to see their tales. It was extraordinary and the marine biologists on board were very informative. On the way back I spent over twenty minutes chatting with one marine biology student who enthusiastically answered all my questions in detail. I would absolutely do it again.
