We picked a beautiful September day to do this tour. We reserved our spot. Got a reduced price from groupon. Forecasters were predicting higher winds and seas that day. They sell dramamine where you check in, $1 for two adult doses. We took them as did many others. We did not see any people get seasick that day. Boat was full. They were turning people away at the checkin, from the very beginning, so reserving a ticket is a good suggestion. It was rough, mostly heavy rolling on the return ride. The boat left the pier at one o'clock sharp You go about an hour out to the point where you can't see land...we saw a lot of whales, many breeching. Some fairly close to the boat, some far away. They spent about an hour or so searching for the whales. Guides were very good at telling us what to expect to see, and they announced the whales as they showed themselves. Return ride was another hour, we returned about five o'clock. The boat was comfortable for the length of ride, and handled the heavy seas very well. They offered food and drink on board. Highly recommend. Was a nice ride and seeing the whales was great.
