Morning voyage was on time. Crew was professional and knowledgeable. Less than one hour into the trip, spied a whale nearly fully breached out of the water and came crashing down, about 1/4 of a mile off the bow. This was an incredible sight, right out of a National Geographic special! This was part of a pair of whales that seemed to be enjoying themselves, frequently rolling over, showing their fins and their tails, like they were performing. Saw 6 more whales over the next few hours; not as demonstrative as the first two, but a thrill to watch!
We have been privileged to go on several whale watch cruises off the New England coast, but none could touch this experience. The family has already talked about going again before the end of October!
