We have been going out on Hurricane 2 for many years. We have done this trip every August since 2011, except August 2020. They always find the whales. It has always been a wonderful day. The Science staff is very knowledgable and helpful. Tiips---even on a hot summer day, the trip home can be windy and chilly. Bring a windbreaker and sunscreen.

Whales were seen, multiple whales, multiple times. Good job driving near the whales, but not encroaching on them.

It was a beautiful sunny summer day, one of the hottest on land but the best day to go whale whaling. We have been before in September of 2020 where we saw not only Humpback whales but also dolphins. On this trip, August 13th, 2021, the ocean was so calm, the sun was shinning, we could see out for miles. We encountered 11 whales in total, there were at times, 3 sleeping alongside each other. We learnt a lot of educational information about these whales as there were educators on whale narrating the trip. Such as when whales sleep, they float, called "logging" and they do not ever totally fall asleep, only half-asleep, staying half alert so they do not sink. It was amazing, the crew were so friendly and the captain was so conscious of both sides of the boat, so he kept turning at different angle so everybody get to have wonderful views of these gorgeous creatures!! A day well spent, 4 hours out on the water!! We would recommend this to those who wish to do whale watching!

Dear jeangordon2021, Truly nothing better than smooth seas & the sun shining.... and of course the whales!! It sounds like you had a fantastic day out on the water. We hope to see you again next summer. Kind regards, Capt. Jim Douglass Owner
