Gold Rush Cemetery

Gold Rush Cemetery to visit our infamous outlaw, Soapy Smith, and hear tales of the early pioneers. Your guide will bring the Gold Rush to life with many stories of the history of the era.

We were a little hesitant to book outside the cruise line excursions but the price was much more reasonable. Klondike Tours is a family operated business that takes their customer service seriously. Billie Joe, the mom and owner, was our tour guide. She is a wealth of information about the history of Skagway. She was so personable and accommodating to whatever her customers wanted. We took some beautiful pictures. Even though the weather didn't cooperate at the top of the mountain, she made the best of it and we enjoyed every minute. Four friends from Louisiana will never forget our time in Skagway, AK.

The tour left late and drove around looking for people not even confirmed which made it so we had to rush and not being able to do/see everything we were supposed to. The gold panning was a joke and we asked for a refund. Would not recommend.

As with most transportation businesses Klondike Tours has felt the struggle of the new US DOT regulations and recovering after the Covid years has also left most Alaskan communities in a pinch but we are all doing our best to welcome our lower 48 neighbors. In the 23 years that Klondike Tours has been running we have always strived to treat our guests as family, and it breaks our hearts when even one person Walks away Unsatisfied.
