This is the classic whitewater rafting trip experience down the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. It doesn't take all day, but you'll wish it did. The rapids are fun and the calm sections of river let you relax and enjoy the scenery all around you. There are non-paddling and paddling positions in this raft all watched over by an experienced whitewater rafting guide. River Class I-III (easy to moderate).

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Please wear shoes that can get wet that will not fall off your feet. An old pair of running shoes or water shoes would be your best option. You must wear footwear in the raft, so we do have booties available for rent if you do not have footwear. Sizes run 2 – 15 and can be rented upon arrival for $5.00 per pair.
Please wear synthetic clothing if possible and bring layers. Synthetics are best for the river because they dry faster than cotton. A bathing suit underneath shorts and a t-shirt is fine for a nice, warm, summer day.
Conditions can be variable; you may experience a cold day on the river. (Not to worry, it will still be a lot of fun. You just have to dress appropriately!)
We have wet suits & wet suit jackets available for rent. Wet suits are $10.00 to rent. Wet suit jackets are $5.00 to rent.
Splash gear is complimentary. On a cold day, you’ll want a bathing suit to wear under the wet suit.
Bring a change of dry clothes and a towel!
Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are highly recommended.
Gratuity not included.
Please note: kids must weigh at least 50 pounds or more to go rafting!

The staff is amazing! We had Sue as our bus driver and she bought cupcakes with lighted candles for my father’s 88th birthday. Kolten was our river guide, what a nice guy! Beautiful scenery, a pleasant afternoon for sure.

Amazing time water rafting in the Snake River at Jackson Hole. The entire experience was fun for the family. Mmmm kids are 12 and 7 years of age. It was the first time for all of us and I highly recommend it. Guide was Pony Boy and he was amazing the entire time with details and guiding us the 8.5 miles. Thanks for the great time and memories.

A fun experience rafting over the Snake River. Everything was as planned and advertised. Alec, our guide, kept us involved and safe and wet. The segment included class || and a couple class ||| rapids. Great activity, must do, while in Jackson Hole, and Mad River offers great value for the price. Great communication before, during, and after trip.
