We booked tour on the Assateague Explorer over the phone and what a disappointment; we saw some ponies from very far; and no dolphins. The pontoon boat hold 6 persons and is in bad condition; on top of that the captain brought his dog on the boat, a big black lab puppy which was jumping all over the passengers! I love dogs but not on this boat; the fare of $ 125.00 for 2 is not even worth half of this price; would not recommend this company! We saw more ponies from the National Park on the road!

Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining made trip a lot fun. We were able to see some ponies but not as close as the brochure made it look. Also a little disappointed we weren't told trip would be on a much smaller boat with no cover from the sun. Made going on the trip a little nervous being on the smaller boat, should tell people booking about that. 11 adults and 1 child and 7 of us were extremely hot from there being no canopy from the sun, should have told us about that. We did see a few dolphins as well.

Pictures on travel site are totally misleading. This was not the boat we cruised in (was honestly worried about the condition of the boat we were on); The other picture of ponies almost alongside the boat could never happen on our "cruise". We never got anywhere close to the ponies. I realize sightings are not guaranteed but we could not even see the ponies using binoculars. We were that far away on the water. Must say though the ride once we got into an inlet was peaceful and scenic--but certainly not for the $125.08 we paid for this totally false cruise advertisement.
