We had a very nice trip. Drew was a fun guide and made sure we knew what to do! We did the Wilderness tour and it was a bit more sedate than we were hoping for. Next time we'd pick the Canyon tour. The dry suits kept us completely dry - even our feet - but the water is chilly! Definitely need warm clothing underneath. There is a steep climb at the end to get back to the bus. We really had a nice tour and were glad we decided to book with New Wave.

We’ve lived in Alaska for 14 years and this is one of the best Denali adventures we’ve ever had!! If you raft in Denali, these river guides are the best!

First off - we had a blast. Chance was a great guide and did a fantastic job of informing, paddling and entertaining. I booked the trip not knowing that the Wilderness wave was the less intense trip they offered. FYI it is a class 1,2,3 level trip We would have rather done the more intense Canyon wave trip. However, our guide made the trip way more fun and we got to see and do things I don’t think we could have done on a more intense trip. We wound up seeing a moose and some eagles. If you have never done the trip - the water is cold but the suit you wear makes it cold for a few seconds. You will stay mostly dry in the suit. We spent a bunch time worrying over what base layers to wear. Probably didn’t have to. I mean - don’t bring your car fob but I wouldn’t worry about being soaked in cold water. Thanks Chance and New Wave for a great trip.
