Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley wine region, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, has become one of the United States' premier producers of cool-climate varietals like pinot noir. Start your wine country tour with hotel pickup from downtown Portland, and make your way by Mercedes Sprinter Van to three wineries carefully chosen by us. Portland is the perfect hub for exploring quiet backcountry roads through Oregon’s wine country, with more than half of the state’s 500 or so wineries located about 45 minutes away in the nearby Willamette Valley taking in beautiful vistas of gently rolling hills that give way to the expansive valley with views the Cascade Mountains. At each winery, taste a select group of varietals that will please even the most discerning palate, from reds like Pinot Noir Cabernet Franc to award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Riesling & more. ITINERARY Wineries visited in this region may vary based on day of the week and winery availability.

We had a wonderful time. We went to 3 lovely boutique vineyards. We were treated very well by the vineyards especially blizzard. We could really see the relationship that they had with the vineyards and we were given a great experience. The tour guide Geri was thoughtful and lovely! I would highly reccomend.

We hate tours. We loved this tour. Why? Nikko, our guide and driver. This tour is a pretty good value for the price. IT included pickup and drop off at our hotel, the transport and paid wine tastings at three wineries. Nikko is very knowledgable, fun and easy to talk to. The tour was a small group only 10. This is perfect for being able to all join in on a discussion or joke. We thought the choice of wineries excellent. The first kind of homey, the second very impressive tasting room and outdoor patio and the last very personable staff with cheese and crackers

We got picked up from our hotel in downtown Portland, then swung by and picked up another couple, then journeyed to the Willamette Valley to visit 4 vineyards. Our driver, Kevin, is so knowledgeable about the history of Portland and the Willamette Valley, pointing out to us the hazelnut farms along the way. He packed a great lunch of small tapas that was the perfect amount of food, and water was available in the nice van. The valley is so beautiful, I suggest going for the day (9 am - 5 pm).
